Rangayana Raghu starrer Agnatavasi teaser out on April 7

Last April, filmmaker Hemanth Rao, announced that he would be backing a film that will be helmed by Gultoo fame Janardhan Chikkanna, headlining Rangayana Raghu. Titled Agnatavasi (one who is in exile) the film is a murder mystery set against the backdrop of the ghats of Coorg and Chikmagalur. “And Rangayana Raghu sir’s acting repertoire can be witnessed to the fullest.He’s a beast when it comes to celluloid and you can see that element in this film. The title is ably suited to what he plays in the film,” shares Hemanth, who has come away bowled over by what he’s seen of the film.

“It’s rather unfortunate that lead roles are often written for a certain category of actors, and those with many years of experience and are beyond what we perceive as an age group for a hero, never get to play the lead. It is the same that applies to our leading women, too. How often do we see a senior actor fronting a film? I would love to see that change. And that’s why I chose to back this story called Agnatavasi. You will also get to see why I loved the script when you are the teaser which releases on April 7,” concurs Hemanth who has chosen to name his banner after his mother, Dakshayini. The film also stars Pavana Gowda, Siddu Moolimane, Ravishankar Gowda and Sharath Lohithashwa.
