Anoop recounted his visit, saying, "Siddique Ikka spoke to us about Sappi after his funeral and all other visitors had left." Sitting on a veranda next to Sappi's room, Siddique reminisced about his son's unique personality traits. "Being an actor, Siddique Ikka naturally imitated Sappi while talking about him. Ikka remembered how Sappi was meticulous about keeping everything in order at home. He had a fondness for chicken dishes, a fear of darkness, and frequently experienced epileptic seizures." Anoop wrote.

Sappi's favorite place was the library, where he found solace among the books. He would meticulously arrange the books on the shelves, much to the delight of the librarian. Siddique shared that Sappi had a remarkable memory and could recall details with precision. He also recounted a day when Sappi took a bicycle and disappeared, causing panic in the household. "As soon as he saw Siddique, Sappi pleaded, 'Don’t scold me, Vappa,'" Anoop noted.
Sathyan Anthikad tried to console Siddique, reflecting on Sappi's life, "When you imagine the world from his point of view, we realize Sappi’s innocence and lack of hypocrisy."
