Ranjith's remarks stemmed from an incident at the State Film Award function, where Bheeman Raghu notably stood and listened attentively to the Chief Minister's speech.

During the interview with the New Indian Express, Ranjith expressed disdain for Bheeman Raghu, emphasizing that despite the actor's muscular physique, he lacked the intellect to command respect. Ranjith highlighted a moment during the ceremony when the Chief Minister didn't acknowledge Bheeman Raghu despite his prolonged attention.
Ranjith sarcastically said that the CM didn’t even look in the direction where Bheeman Raghu was standing for hours during his speech.
Further, Ranjith said that even having a muscular physique, Bheeman Raghu lacks wit and they used to mock him for the same reason for years.
In response, actor Hareesh Peradi criticized both Ranjith and Bheeman Raghu through a sarcastic Facebook post.
