Kalesh Ramanand on SN Swamy’s Secret: Exploring the Science of Omens - Exclusive

Veteran writer SN Swamy is set to make his directorial debut with the upcoming film Secret, marking a significant milestone in his illustrious career.

Actor Kalesh Ramanand, known for his versatile roles in Hridayam, Varshangalkku Shesham, and many other films, plays a pivotal lead character in this mystery drama.

In an exclusive interview with ETimes, Kalesh shared insights about his character and the film's intriguing storyline.
“I am playing Moorthy, Dhyan Sreenivasan’s close friend, in the film,” Kalesh revealed. “Dhyan, Aparna Das, Gregory, and I form a close-knit friendship circle. My character is a psychologist. The story unfolds when our gang attends my character’s wedding, and a subsequent trip triggers a personal crisis for Dhyan’s character, Mithun.”

Elaborating on his role, Kalesh explained, “As the psychologist Moorthy, I play Dhyan’s confidant, trying to delve into his thoughts and emotions amidst skepticism from others about his experiences.”
Discussing the film's premise, Kalesh added, “‘Secret’ explores the theme of coincidences, known as ‘Nimitha Shasthram’ (the science of omens), and the intriguing theories surrounding them. It questions whether such occurrences have a scientific basis or if they signify a larger cosmic design.”
Kalesh emphasized, “As the movie deals with such a complex subject, SN Swamy sir decided to take on the director’s role for the film.”
He concluded by saying, “‘Secret’ will surely make the audience question whether the coincidences in their lives have some scientific connection and how such things relate to our psychology.”
With SN Swamy, famed for his work on the CBI series, taking his first step into directing, expectations are high among audiences.
