According to reports from the Sacnilk website, the film has collected an impressive Rs 13.4 crore from Kerala alone within its first 7 days. On the seventh day, the film contributed Rs 1 crore to this lot.

Even though the movie is criticised for it's uninteresting first half, the movie takes a magnificent turn in the second half which is filled with intense action sequences, grand visuals, magnificent performances. Overall the film is said to be a must watch fantasy action film.
‘Kalki 2898 AD’ is a science fiction action film that features Prabhas as Bhairava, a bounty hunter from Kashi. The film’s star-studded cast includes Deepika Padukone, who portrays SU-M80 aka Sumathi, a pregnant test subject, Amitabh Bachchan as Ashwatthama, and Kamal Haasan as Supreme Yaskin, the leader of the Complex.
