National Award-winning biopic ‘Me Vasantrao’ gets a World Digital Premiere on OTT platform

Based on the life of renowned classical musician Pandit Vasantrao Deshpande, the national award-winning Marathi-language film is a stirring story of the doyen of music.
The riveting story, helmed by Nipun Dharmadhikari, chronicles the life of the maestro of Kshatriya and natya sangeet Pandit Vasantrao Deshpande. The legendary Hindustani classical singer is also the grandfather of renowned singer and actor Rahul Deshpande who plays the titular role in the film.Presented by Jio Studios, the film boasts of a stellar cast with Anita Date, Amey Wagh, Pushkaraj Chirputkar and Sarang Sathaye in key roles. It won two awards as the Best Playback Singer Male (Rahul Deshpande) and Best Background score (Anmol Bhave).
Me Vasantrao traces the life of Pandit Vasantrao Deshpande whose vast musical repertoire and versatility, bestowed him the title of a legend, in the rich natya sangeet culture.
