Invite health and positivity into your home with these spiritual plants

Despite the pandemic, my parents, in their 70s, managed to remain uninfected and maintain good health, happiness, and a positive outlook. My mother's dedication to gardening, especially cultivating specific plants, like lavender, rosemary, bamboo plant, money plant, basil, orchids, and aloe vera, played a significant role in their serenity. These plants provide numerous benefits such as calming anxiety, boosting energy, aiding sleep, attracting good fortune, purifying the air, and relieving stress. Their presence in the house contributed to my parents' well-being during the lockdown.

During the lockdown, I opted to spend a couple of months back home with my parents, marking my first visit since the onset of the Covid pandemic. Despite nearing their 70s and being retired, my parents managed to live independently throughout the entire pandemic period. Remarkably, they not only remained uninfected but also maintained good health, happiness, and a positive outlook.
In stark contrast, despite juggling a full-time job, household responsibilities, and navigating Covid-related challenges, I found myself getting overwhelmingly bored and anxious while staying at home.
Upon probing how they managed to stay so serene and occupied during this period, my mother attributed it to her dedication to full-time gardening, a passion that had been sporadic before the lockdown. She invested time in researching and nurturing specific plants to infuse our home with much-needed positivity. Here are the plants she cultivated:
Lavender: Renowned for its calming aroma, this houseplant swiftly soothes anxiety and boosts energy levels. It's particularly beneficial for individuals dealing with depression and various mental health issues. Placing it indoors near a south-facing window with adequate sunlight yields the best results.
Rosemary: This herb, familiar in culinary use, doubles as a sleep aid and memory enhancer. When appropriately tended to, it aids in combating insomnia and improving memory retention. Optimum growth occurs in bright rooms.
Bamboo Plant: Known for attracting good fortune, wealth, and prosperity, the bamboo plant requires minimal maintenance. Placing it in any room with gentle, indirect light and submerging one-third of the plant in water is recommended.

Money Plant: A beloved addition to Indian households, the money plant thrives almost anywhere and can even be displayed decoratively in glass bottles. Believed to absorb negative energy, it serves as a positive element in the house.
Basil (Tulsi): Acknowledged for its antioxidant and antibiotic properties, Holy Basil or Tulsi holds sacred significance and is used in numerous home remedies. It helps alleviate symptoms of cold, cough, and fevers while clearing negative energy.
Orchids: These elegant flowers not only beautify spaces but also aid in stress relief and relaxation. Placing them in rooms with indirect sunlight and ample lighting is ideal.
Aloe Vera: Beyond its popular uses for skin and hair care, Aloe Vera also purifies the air. It's suitable for placement in various rooms but particularly beneficial in bedrooms for overnight air cleansing.
