NEW DELHI: Sixteen boxers will participate in eight bouts at the inaugural Global Boxing Series, set to take place at the Jade Garden Banquets in Worli on Saturday. The majority of these boxers will be stepping into the professional boxing arena for the first time. Notable among them are Ishan Rawat, nicknamed the Knucklehead Warrior, and Tayne de Villiers, whose father has coached several MMA champions.
Additionally, the lineup features boxers such as Malhar Bhosale and Rajkumar Wagh from Maharashtra, Jayanth Gunji, Suresh Pasham, and Samuel from Hyderabad, as well as Hashir and Pradish from Tamil Nadu, and Paras Chauhan representing Gujarat.
The Global Boxing Series is promoted by Devraj Das in partnership with Salil Acharya, a radio jockey, host, and anchor. Das, who founded Marine Pro Boxing Promotions, has extensive experience collaborating with boxing organizations in Southeast Asia and the International Boxing Association.
"Indian boxers have the potential to leave a significant mark on the professional boxing scene, not only in Asia but also in Europe, fulfilling the dream of many to thrive in Western boxing," Das said.
