Kiyan Nassiri, a promising Indian striker, has joined Chennayin FC from Mohun Bagan, the club announced on Friday. The 23-year-old, who is the son of East Bengal legend Jamshid Nassiri, began his senior professional career with the Kolkata giants in 2019.
Nassiri has committed his future to the Chennai-based club by signing a three-year deal that will keep him at the club until 2027.
The young forward's arrival is expected to bolster Chennayin FC's attacking options as they look to reclaim their former glory in the upcoming seasons.
The club, which has previously won the Indian Super League title twice, will be hoping that Nassiri's talent and potential will help them in their pursuit of success. The signing of the young striker is a testament to Chennayin FC's commitment to nurturing and developing young Indian talent.

"I am extremely excited and grateful to be a part of this amazing sea of blue. Bringing all my humility and respect for the management, coaches and fans. Looking forward to bringing with me, my endless passion for the beautiful game and my spirit to win with and for my team.”
CFC head coach Owen Coyle added, “When you score a hat trick on your debut against your biggest rivals, it says everything there is to be said. He's a great boy and we have no doubt he will quickly become a fan favourite.”

Kiyan, who started his youth career at Calcutta Cricket and Football Club and Mohammedan Sporting Club, later joined Mohun Bagan.
Since making his senior debut, Kiyan has scored nine goals in 69 appearances and had two assists.
Throughout his career, Kiyan has secured four titles, which include the ISL Cup (2022-23) and the ISL League Shield (2023-24). He has also emerged victorious in the I-League (2019-20) and the Durand Cup (2023).
In recognition of his outstanding performance, Kiyan was honored with the Mohun Bagan Best Forward Award in 2022.
Kiyan is the sixth player to be acquired by CFC this season, following the signings of midfielder Jitendra Singh, defenders Elsinho and Laldinpuia, and strikers Daniel Chima Chukwu and Wilmar Jordán.
