Microsoft Xbox server outage fixed, here’s what the company said

Microsoft has fixed the Xbox Live service outage that impacted users worldwide who were unable to sign into their Xbox accounts. According to the official support page of Xbox, the service is now up and running.
The outage, according to Downdetector, started late night on July 2 around 11pm IST and lasted for several hours till morning next day.

Xbox started an investigation which lasted for hours.However, the company did not reveal the exact reason of what resulted in the outage, but kept continuously updating users about it.
After the service was restored, official handle of Xbox Support on X (formerly Twitter) said “Users should no longer be encountering issues signing in to Xbox Live and services. Thank you for your patience, game on!”.

As per Downdetector, thousands of Xbox Live users were affected by the outage. The company said that it was “aware that some users have been disconnected from Xbox Live. We're investigating! Please follow here and on our status page for updates. http://Xbox.com/status”.
While the status page read “You may not be able to sign-in to your Xbox profile, may be disconnected while signed in, or have other related problems,” the notice read. “Features that require sign-in like most games, apps and social activity won’t be available.”
