How to scan documents using your Apple iPhone
Having the option to scan documents on the go is a true game-changer. Whether you need to digitize important documents for work or preserve personal documents or quickly send a signed contract to others, your Apple iPhone can be a powerful and convenient scanning tool. Thanks to its advanced camera technology, scanning documents has never been easier if you are an iPhone user.

There are many ways to scan documents using an iPhone. But in this guide, we will discuss how to scan documents using two of Apple’s in-built apps – Notes and Files.

How to scan documents using Notes app


  • Open Notes app on your iPhone
  • Go to an existing note or create one
  • Now, tap on the camera icon at the bottom and tap on ‘Scan documents’
  • Place the document you wish to scan in front of the camera. Adjust the image size by dragging the corners
  • Choose Save


How to scan documents using Files app


  • Open Files app on your iPhone
  • Tap on the three dot icons at the top right corner of your screen
  • Here, tap on Scan Documents
  • Scan the document you wish to save/share
  • Tap on Save
