Samsung has announced the Galaxy Watch FE, a new budget-friendly smartwatch that brings many of the advanced features of the Galaxy Watch series at a more affordable price, just like its FE series of Galaxy smartphones.
Samsung Galaxy Watch FE: Price, availability in India
The Galaxy Watch FE starts at $199 (around Rs 16,000) and will be available globally, including in India later this summer, expectedly in June.
An LTE version of the Galaxy Watch FE, launching later this year, will be priced at $249 (around Rs 20,00).
For comparison, the Galaxy Watch 6 series starts at Rs 29,999 or $329.

The Galaxy Watch FE has the same specifications as 2021's Galaxy Watch 4, including a 1.2-inch Super AMOLED display, Exynos W920 dual-core processor, 1.5GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, and a 247mAh battery with wireless charging support. The smartwatch runs OneUI Watch 5 on top of WearOS 4. It has one-click strap design. Connectivity options include NFC, WiFi, and Bluetooth 5.0.

The Galaxy Watch FE can track over 100 different workouts, monitor sleep, and assess heart health via features like irregular rhythm notifications, blood pressure monitoring, and personalised heart zones. It also includes Samsung's suite of BioActive sensors for comprehensive health and fitness tracking. The watch also provides body composition analysis and personalised fitness coaching to help users reach their wellness goals.
Users can remotely control their smartphone camera with Galaxy Watch FE, use Samsung Wallet for payments and digital IDs, and easily locate their phone using the Find My Phone feature on the watch.
One notable upgrade over the Galaxy Watch 4 is the addition of a more durable sapphire crystal glass covering the display, providing better protection against scratches. The smartwatch also has IP68 rating and 5ATM of water resistance.
The Watch FE will be available in a 40mm size option in three colours: Black, Pink Gold, and Silver.
