She is currently playing the role of Yasoda, a cool grandma, in the show 'Ninnishtam Ennishtam'. Surekha expressed her excitement about the character and the show's slice-of-life storyline. However, she also felt emotional about returning to Thiruvananthapuram, where she started her career. She reminisced about the late actors and filmmakers who were part of the 'Thakara' team.

Veteran actress Surekha, popular for her debut Malayalam movie 'Thakara' is making her comeback to the industry. The actress can be seen playing one of the lead roles in the upcoming serial 'Ninnishtam Ennishtam'. Starring Ameen and Sandra, the serial portrays the life of two youngsters with distinct dreams in life.

The International Film Festival of Kerala (IFFK) will pay tributes to late actor Prathap Pothen by screening his film ‘Kafir’ which was released this year. Directed by Vinod, the film will be screened at Kalabhavan theatre at 5pm on Saturday.
