Prithviraj Sukumaran has wrapped up the first schedule of "L2 Empuraan," the sequel to the hit film "Lucifer." The actor-director shared the news on Instagram along with a picture from the film's Ladakh location. "L2 Empuraan" is a prequel and sequel to its predecessor, delving deeper into the character of Stephen Nedumpally, played by Mohanlal. The star-studded ensemble cast from "Lucifer" will reprise their roles in the sequel, and new actors including Arjun Das and Shine Tom Chacko will also be featured. The film is set to release by the end of 2024 or early 2025.

Malayalam actor Kailas will be teaming up with the actress Sarayu Mohan for his next movie ‘Uppumaavu’ and according to the recent updates, the film started rolling in Kollam, Kerala. ‘Uppumaavu’ is written and directed by Shyam Shivarajan and the cinematography will be done by Madhesh. Sreemankalam Vijayan and Shyam Shivajan will be penning down the screenplay and dialogues of ‘Uppumaavu’ whereas the editing section will be handled by Ryan Titus.

The team has recently unveiled the second official poster of the movie. Debutant Abhirami Bharghavan is playing the female lead. It is announced that Madhura Sreedhar Reddy of Madhura Entertainment is doing a Telugu remake of the film with debutant Sanjeev Reddy set to direct.
