A top-order batsman, Ajinkya Rahane is a batsman in the Indian cricket team from Mumbai. He is a right-handed batsman and the vice captain of the national team. Rahane played his first ever first-class debut in the 2007–08 season and managed to score 1089 runs in his second Ranji season.
He played his first international game in a Twenty20 International match against England in 2011. Rahane scored his first Test century against New Zealand at the Basin Reserve. In addition to this, he has been the captain of the team in the fourth Test against Australia in 2017.
