Despite all the adversities, 2020 turned out to be a rather blessed year for
Ruslaan Mumtaz, both on the personal and professional front. The actor was blessed with a baby boy in March this year and on the work front, he was seen in the popular show, ‘
Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke’. And just before the year draws to a close, he has bagged a new show. Ruslaan has been finalised to play the male lead in ‘
Nikki Aur Jadui Bubble’.
The show revolves around 11-year-old Nikki, daughter of great magician, Shiv, and how with the help of her magical Bubble and close friends, she embarks on a journey to find her father and defeat the evil Jadugarni, Jhanjharika.
Talking about the show, Ruslaan shares, “This is a fantasy show about magic… on the lines of ‘Harry Potter’. I am a big fan of such movies and I am excited about getting an opportunity to explore the genre. I play a magician whose name is Shiv. I have never played such a character before and I’m sure that it will be a great experience.”

While he is back to work, what precautions will he take since he has a small infant at home? “I don't meet anyone socially. My interactions are only work-related. As an actor, it is not possible for me to be wearing my mask while working. The crew I’m working with wears masks and maintains a distance from me. Also, on my shooting dates, I anyway don't meet my son, because he is sleeping when I leave and also when I return,” he replies, adding, “Working for a TV show on a set is the safest location to shoot at. Besides, production houses are extremely disciplined and make arrangements keeping everyone’s safety in mind. All of us are aware and responsible towards our health and safety.”
