Dhanush-Samyuktha starrer 'Vaathi' set for its TV premiere

Get ready for an entertaining weekend with a promising action-period film set to entertain on the small screen. The world television premiere of the movie ‘Vaathi’ is scheduled on May 7 at 6:30 PM.
The film stars Dhanush, Samuthirakani, and Samyuktha in the lead roles and also has an ensemble cast including P. Sai Kumar, Tanikella Bharani, Thotapalli Madhu, Narra Srinivas, Pammi Sai, Hyper Aadi, Sha Ra, Aadukalam Naren, Ilavarasu, Rajendran, Hareesh Peradi, Praveena, Ken Karunas, Naga, Mahesh, Bharathiraja, and Sumanth in supporting roles.The film was written and directed by Venky Atluri. Music is composed by GV Prakash Kumar while cinematography and editing are handled by J. Yuvaraj and Naveen Nooli respectively.

Speaking about the television premiere, director Venky Atluri said, "I am glad to work with such a huge star like Dhanush and Samuthirakani sir. And the character Balamurugan is not a unique character, he's just a normal boy next door who works as a school teacher. The character Balamurugan faces the biggest problem in his life which makes his life different. With the television premiere, audiences will get to watch Vaathi on their home screens and enjoy this period action film with their families."

The story is all about Thirupathi the owner of a private school, who adopts some government schools and sends some of his faculty members as the latter knows that his faculty members aren't capable of teaching students. He wants to eliminate all public institutions of intermediate school education and force students into his private institutions. However, Balamurugan, a qualified teacher thwarts Thirupathi's plans by making the students at Sozhavaram government school get first class. This news enrages Thirupathi who reprimands and challenges Balamurugan to make the students secure TNPCEE ranks. Balu accepts the challenge and soon starts to prepare the students. Whether Balamurugan wins the Thirupathi challenge or not is the rest of the plot.
