BJP Mahila Morcha holds massive protest in Bengaluru over Belagavi incident

BJP leaders and members of BJP Mahila Morcha on December 16 staged a protest against Congress-led Karnataka Government in Bengaluru over the Belagavi incident. The protestors condemned the incident where a woman was allegedly assaulted and paraded naked. While eight people have been arrested and a hunt is on for the eight others accused, the Karnataka High Court has taken up the matter on its own. A three-member National Commission for Scheduled Tribes investigation team arrived in Belagavi and met the victim and her family members. Notably, in a shocking incident, a 42-year-old woman in Vantamuri village of Belagavi district was stripped, assaulted and paraded after her son allegedly eloped with another woman on December 11. She was also tied to an electric pole.
