“Submitted all our facts to CWMA” CM Siddaramaiah on Cauvery water dispute

Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on September 29 addressed a Press Conference in connection with the Cauvery water issue. Addressing the media, CM Siddaramaiah said the Karnataka Government has submitted all their facts during the Cauvery Water Management Authority meeting, which was held on September 29.“There was a meeting of the Cauvery Water Management Authority today. We have submitted all our facts. I will hold a meeting with retired Supreme Court Judges today. I will talk with our legal team if we can question this in the Supreme Court. We will decide what to do after talking to them. Let us see what happens next,” said CM Siddaramaiah.Notably, Farmer unions and pro-Kannada organisations have called for a Karnataka Bandh today after the Cauvery Regulatory Committee (CWRC) ordered to release of 3000 cusecs of water to Tamil Nadu. On September 27, CM Siddaramaiah had expressed his disappointment on the recommendation of the CWRC which has directed Karnataka to ensure the release of 3000 cusecs of Cauvery water at Biligundlu starting from September 28 up to October 15, 2023.
