Submit report in 2 weeks: HC on Siolim trees
Panaji: The high court of Bombay has asked the state to submit the investigation papers of the first offence report in the Siolim heritage tree cutting case within two weeks.
Advocate general Devidas Pangam told HC that the investigation has been completed by the range forest officer.
“A copy of the entire investigation papers into the first offence report (FOR) shall be placed under sealed cover before us within a period of two weeks,” the HC stated.

Siolim residents had moved the HC over the large-scale felling of ‘intergenerational’ heritage trees, seeking urgent intervention for the protection of more than 100 trees which are to be felled. tnn
