Kerala: Transgender couple blessed with baby, first such case in India

A transgender couple has been blessed with a baby in the Kozhikode district of Kerala. Their close friends shared the news on social media. This is said to be the first such case in India. Though, the parents wished not to divulge the sex of the newborn. Sahad and Ziya Paval started to live together three years ago. Sahad, a trans man, halted his transitioning process to get pregnant. Their journey to become a trans man and trans woman will continue which was paused to become a parent. Sahad works as an accountant and Ziya is a classical dance teacher.
