NEW DELHI: Hailey Welch, the internet sensation known as the "Hawk Tuah" girl, is reportedly in discussions to capitalize on her viral fame. Major Hollywood talent agencies are competing with each other to represent her after recognizing the potential in her sudden rise to stardom.
According to TMZ, Welch has not officially signed with any agency yet, she has already begun to monetize her newfound celebrity status.The influencer has started selling signed merchandise, including hats featuring her now-infamous catchphrase, "spit on that thang."
United Talent Agency (UTA) is rumored to be interested in representing Welch, although the specifics of their potential partnership remain unclear. The agency has denied having Welch as a client at this time, despite speculation that Donald Trump's former literary agent, Bryd Leavell, might take her on.
Meanwhile, Welch has signed a deal with Tennessee-based hat company Fathead Threads for selling a line of merchandise featuring her signature phrase, with Welch set to receive a portion of the profits. She has been seen signing the hats, which are being sold for up to $43 each.
Welch's overnight fame stems from a profanity-laden street interview, in which she was asked about her preferences in bed. The video has since gone viral, inspiring countless memes and parodies across social media platforms.
However, not everyone is thrilled with Welch's sudden rise to prominence. Legendary shock jock Howard Stern, a father of three girls himself, expressed his disapproval on his SiriusXM show, stating that Welch represents "every father's worst nightmare."
