An experiment on your body that works by altering your lifestyle in order to live your best life is termed biohacking. From quick weight loss to enhancing your brain and body function can be achieved via biohacking. Experts bring in changes in one’s physiology, exercise, nutrition and lifestyle to improve the quality of health and overall wellbeing. A biohack in a diet focuses on nutrigenomics, which is to see how food interacts with one’s genes. Every body is a different formation of cells and genes, and each one will need a diet pattern depending on their body type and composition. We bring your simple measures for an effective hack.

Intermittent Fasting
One of the popular diet and fitness trends is intermittent fasting, which caught the attention of many during the pandemic. Intermittent fasting is observed as an eating pattern and not a diet, and hence, it focuses on when one should eat rather than what should be eaten. “Sixteen-hour fasts on a daily basis or fasting for 24 hours, twice a week, are two of the common intermittent fasting methods which aid in weight-loss,” says Dietician Brindha S. By boosting metabolism, studies show that intermittent fasting can be a very powerful weight loss tool.

The Power Of Superfoods
The nutrient-rich superfoods promote overall health, and the loaded antioxidants and micronutrients could also enhance weight loss, suggest experts. “Superfoods are powerhouses with the needed vitamins and minerals which help the body to find more energy and stamina and improve the digestive health and overall wellness,” says Brindha, who feels that eating nutritious foods that satisfy the appetite could make people stick to their eating routines.

Try An Elimination Diet

An elimination diet, as the name suggests, gets rid of something from your diet, and then you can slowly re-introduce it to see how it affects your body. “To biohack your diet, you need to figure what is causing inflammation in your body, and the elimination diet is best for this purpose,” suggests Brindha. She adds that in this diet you avoid the suspicious foods that might cause uncomfortable symptoms. The elimination diet relieves symptoms like diarrhea, constipation, and bloating, and results in better moods, mental agility and performance. Talk to a doctor or a nutritionist before making any significant changes to your diet, advises the expert.
