Nate and his team are making incredible strides in promoting the benefits of grain sorghum and millets globally. 🌍 #Sorghum is a highly versatile and sustainable grain, boasting drought tolerance, nutritional value, and significant environmental benefits. Sorghum uses about a third of the water of corn and offers numerous health benefits, including being #glutenfree and #nonGMO. Despite a reported decline in overall planted acreage, regions like #Nebraska have seen substantial growth. Nate attributes this to improved genetics and the need for more value-added markets. Innovations like the SuperCrop header developed by my fellow #team members at Bish Enterprises here in Giltner, NE are making sorghum harvesting more efficient, highlighting the ongoing advancements in agricultural technology. Nate emphasizes the importance of reducing dependency on major buyers like China by diversifying markets and enhancing local value addition. 🌍 Just returned from an incredible visit to Prague for the 21st annual European Industrial Hemp Association (EIHA) conference! It was an honor to represent Bish Enterprises and showcase our innovative hemp equipment, from the FiberCut Hemp Harvester to the Bish Decorticator for researchers, and much more. The conference was a fantastic opportunity to connect with many inspiring individuals, learn about the latest developments in the European hemp market, and discuss the unique challenges they face. The blend of history and modernity in Prague provided the perfect backdrop for these enlightening conversations.
