Airway infections like influenza, COVID-19, and RSV still pose a significant global health challenge. In developed countries, acute respiratory infections (ARIs) account for 20% of medical consultations and over 30% of work absences. The situation is even more dire in developing nations, where ARIs cause nearly 20% of deaths in children under five. Misti is combating this issue by developing a first-in-class advanced medication delivery platform. Their innovative technology can control particle size, significantly improving the efficiency of delivering therapeutic biomolecules, including advanced drugs like mRNA, deep into the lungs. Misti's platform can potentially revolutionise vaccine and therapy delivery, promising a positive impact on vulnerable populations worldwide. PlasmaLeap Technologies is developing zero-emission reactors to help reduce the ammonia production and carbon emissions of fertilisers.
