Amber Brennan is a judge for Position 22 of the Minnesota Fourth Judicial District. She assumed office in 2022. Her current term ends on January 6, 2025.

Brennan is running for re-election for the Position 22 judge of the Minnesota Fourth Judicial District. She is on the ballot in the general election on November 5, 2024. The primary for this office on August 13, 2024, was canceled.

She was appointed to the court on February 24, 2022 by Tim Walz (D) to replace Elizabeth V. Cutter.[1]

Biography

Brennan received her bachelor's degree in journalism from San Diego State University in 1992 and her J.D. from University of Minnesota Law School in 1998. She began her legal career as an Attorney for the Legal Aid Society of Minneapolis from 1998 to 2005 and again from 2007 to 2009. During the years from 2005 to 2007, she served as an Assistant Attorney General for the Minnesota Attorney General's Office. She then served as an Assistant County Attorney for the Hennepin County Attorney's Office from 2010 to 2012. Directly prior to her 2022 appointment, she served as an Assistant United States Attorney for the United States Attorney's Office from 2012 to 2022.[2]
