Biography
Popp graduated from East High School in Anchorage and worked in the private sector, including as a business owner, before serving as project coordinator of the Ted and Catherine Stevens Center for Science and Technology Education. Popp worked as a special assistant with a focus on oil and gas policy in the Kenai Peninsula Borough Mayor's office and served for 16 years as president and CEO of the Anchorage Economic Development Corporation.[1]
