Cindy Evans (Democratic Party) was a member of the Hawaii House of Representatives, representing District 7. Evans assumed office in 2002. Evans left office in 2018.

Evans (Democratic Party) ran for re-election to the Hawaii House of Representatives to represent District 7. Evans lost in the Democratic primary on August 11, 2018.

Evans served as majority floor leader from 2015 to May 2017 and as majority leader from May 2017 to October 2017.[1]

Biography

Evans previously worked for the Waikoloa Village Outdoor Circle from 2000-2002 and the Columbia Pacific Healthcare Sdn Bhd from 1996-1998, as a development executive in Malaysia from 1996-1998, for the Washington State Government from 1982-1995, and as a customer service representative with American Telephone and Telegraph from 1968-1981.[2]

The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was June 3, 2014. Incumbent Cindy Evans was unopposed in the Democratic primary and was unchallenged in the general election.[6][7][8]

Evans won re-election in the 2012 election for Hawaii House of Representatives District 7. She ran unopposed in the August 11 Democratic primary and ran unopposed in the general election, which took place on November 6, 2012.[9]

Evans won re-election. She defeated Maegan Macgregor in the primary on September 18, 2010. The general election took place on November 2, 2010. Scott Henderson ran on the Republican ticket for this seat.[10]

2008

On November 4, 2008, Evans won re-election to the Hawaii House of Representatives from Hawaii's 7th District, defeating Ronald Dela Cruz (R). Evans received 6,250 votes in the election while Dela Cruz received 3,017 votes.[11] Evans raised $23,213 for her campaign; Dela Cruz raised $6,224.[12]
