David Jacoby (Democratic Party) is a member of the Iowa House of Representatives, representing District 86. He assumed office on January 1, 2023. His current term ends on January 1, 2025.

Biography

David Jacoby was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Jacoby earned a B.A. from the University of Northern Iowa. His career experience includes working as a STEM outreach coordinator with the University of Iowa. Jacoby served on the city council of Coralville, Iowa, and the Iowa Workforce Development Board.[1]

Jacoby won re-election to the 30th District Seat in 2010 against Dustin Krutsinger (L). In the June 8th primary election, Jacoby defeated Democratic primary opponent John J. Stellmach by a margin of 1,165 to 159. The general election took place on November 2, 2010.[12]

2008

On November 4, 2008, Jacoby was re-elected to the 30th District Seat in the Iowa House of Representatives with no opposition.[13] He raised $32,100 for his campaign.[14]
