Fresno County is one of 58 California counties and one of just thirteen that operates as a charter county. As a charter county, the county's voters can amend the county charter through popular vote.

The Fresno County elections department is in charge of the conduct of ballot measure elections for all municipalities and school districts throughout the county.

Fowler Unified School District, California, Measure G, School Improvements Bond Measure (March 2024):  ✔

A "yes" vote supported authorizing the district to issue $44,000,000 in bonds and levy a property tax of $50 per $100,000 assessed value, estimated to generate $3,000,000 annually while bonds are outstanding, to fund school improvements.

A "no" vote opposed authorizing the district to issue $44,000,000 in bonds and levy a property tax of $50 per $100,000 assessed value, estimated to generate $3,000,000 annually while bonds are outstanding, to fund school improvements.

Fresno County, California, Measure A, Sheriff and District Attorney Election Timing Charter Amendment (March 2024):  ✔

A "yes" vote supported amending the county charter to require elections for sheriff and district attorney to continue to occur during gubernatorial, non-presidential election years.

A "no" vote opposed amending the county charter, thus requiring elections for sheriff and district attorney to be held during presidential election years.

Fresno County, California, Measure B, Authority to Change Geographic Feature and Place Names Amendment (March 2024):  ✖

A "yes" vote supported amending the Fresno County Charter to state that the Board of Supervisors is responsible for establishing or changing "geographic feature or place names within the unincorporated portions" of Fresno County that are not subject to federal, state, or other local government jurisdiction.

A "yes" vote supported renewing a parcel tax of $95 per parcel annually, expected to generate $263,965 per year, to fund police and fire services.

A “yes” vote supported increasing the utility user tax on gas, electricity and telephone from 7% to 10% and creating a 10% water usage tax, thereby generating an estimated $346,832 in general fund revenue per year.

A “no” vote opposed increasing the utility user tax on gas, electricity, and telephone to 10% and creating a 10% water usage tax, thereby leaving the existing utility tax of 7% in place and leaving no tax on water usage.

A "yes" vote supported extending the city's existing parcel tax of $120 per residential parcel and varying rates for other property types with revenue dedicated to police services and repealing the original expiration date of June 30, 2022.
