The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was June 13, 2014. Incumbent Michael Cahill, incumbent Marcia Moody and Ella Walichnowska were unopposed in the Democratic primary, while Joshua Davenport and Adam Schroadter were unopposed in the Republican primary. Cahill, Moody, Walichnowska, Davenport and Schroadter faced off in the general election.[6] All three incumbents, Cahill, Moody, and Schroadter defeated challengers Walichnowska and Davenport in the general election.[7]
