Marsh filed to run as a Constitution Party candidate in the 2016 election for Oregon secretary of state. He competed with Brad Avakian (D), Dennis Richardson (R), Independent Party of Oregon candidate Paul Damian Wells, Libertarian Sharon Durbin, and Pacific Green Party of Oregon candidate Alan Zundel in the November 8 general election.[2]

2014
Elections for the Oregon House of Representatives took place in 2014. A primary election took place on May 20, 2014. The general election was held on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was March 11, 2014. Incumbent Betty Komp was unopposed in the Democratic primary. Matt Geiger was unopposed in the Republican primary. He also ran on the Independent party ticket. Thad Marney ran as a Libertarian candidate and Michael P. Marsh ran as a Constitution Party candidate. Komp defeated Geiger, Marney and Marsh in the general election.[4][5][6]
2012
Marsh ran for Treasurer of Oregon in 2012. He faced incumbent Ted Wheeler (Democratic, Working Families), Tom Cox (Republican), John Mahler (Libertarian) and Cameron Whitten (Progressive Party) in the general election on November 6, 2012, which Wheeler won.[7]
