|I am a proud father and husband who has been lucky enough to raise my family in Southwest Riverside County. I have served my country as a Cavalry Scout in the US Army from 1989-93, graduated from UCSB with a BA in History, received my MA in Educational Administration from GCU. I have served my community as a teacher and coach for the last 25 years teaching AP Economics @ Paloma Valley High.
HIGH TAXES have me frustrated! There is no accountability for the taxes we already pay and yet they continue to ask for more!
Having an inside look at our education system I have first hand experience in how we can improve standards, safety, quality of instruction with little to no costs. I have worked in both private and public schools and I know there is a desire for safe schools committed to higher standards in our communities. We can PROTECT PROP 13 & have better education! Let a teacher make that argument for you!
I am frustrated to see there is no plan to try and turn things around and start shining a light on the ridiculous policies of the Democrat Party! They are destroying our state and driving families out of California. Sacramento is broken and politics as usual is just not getting the job done. DON"T VOTE IN MORE POLITICIANS! Help me bring common sense to Sacramento!
- Fight to reduce taxes & regulations
- Education Reform is desperately needed to increase student outcomes and keep our students safe.
- Homeless Crisis needs to be addressed with a level of seriousness we have not seen yet.
I have been disappointed to see that our legislators continue to raise taxes and add ridiculous regulations in California. Many of these stem for the so called climate crisis. Climate change, if we are to take this seriously, should include Nuclear Power, reducing regulation holding up tunneling the Ortega's to open another east/west corridor to reduce traffic. NO NEW TAXES until we audit current programs.
Our Education system ranks 49th in the nation and that seems something Republicans have not been able to take advantage of as they continue to lose seats in the State Assembly. All students are not meant for college and we need to promote the Trades and encourage greater local control. Private/Public partnerships can help create career paths for students who are interested in career training and not college.
Many running for this position are just adding a notch in their belt and using this position as a stepping stone in their political career. I am on a mission to make changes to education and give Republicans a path forward to get more support for their policies. We need to get California moving in the RIGHT DIRECTION!
Our Governor seems to disregard the needs of our people and nothing shows his disregard for American citizens as his in action on the Homeless Crisis. We need to enforce our vagrancy laws and make sure sanitation is restored to our city streets and provide mental health and drug rehab services for this population. Public Safety 1st!
I have been blessed with many mentors in my life but Jesus is my Lord and Savior! It his example and teaching that have been my guiding principles in this life. I feel called to serve my community to help move our State toward a brighter tomorrow and set and example for the young people in our community!
The Federalist Papers and numerous books by Thomas Sowell inform me on what my philosophy is in Government and Economics.
Honest, hard working, and principled officials that are committed to upholding the Constitution of the United States and the laws of California.
I am very good at finding solutions and explaining economic policies in simple terms. I think communicating ideas is the most important part of this job. Working with others and building relationships is important to making changes in Sacramento.
Law makers need to always be aware that they represent all their constituents and not themselves. This is also a leadership position in which keeping constituents informed is a primary responsibility and they also need to be someone who thinks outside the box to solve problems.
Education Reform and making Trade Schools just as valuable as college, embracing hard work and recognizing the talents of our builders.
I was 18 years old stationed in Mannheim Germany when we conducted the last border mission for the 8th Infantry Division. The end of the Cold War and seeing Eastern Europeans finally achieve the freedoms we all enjoy was life changing. It is amazing to see the failures of these socialist policies now be openly embraced by the Democratic Party in California destroying our Middle Class & eroding our freedoms in America.
I also was part of the mobilization for war during Desert Shield/Storm. The military is where I learned both mental and physical toughness. I am so proud to have stood shoulder to shoulder with my brothers in arms during that time. Today I STAND in awe of our current soldiers, sailors, marines and airmen who defend us during our War on Terror in Afghanistan, Iraq and beyond.
My 1st job was as a "sandwich artist" @ Subway and I held that job for 1 year my Junior year in High School. I was raised with a strong work ethic and believe that this experience really helped me value a pay check.
Hamilton. I was so inspired by such a young man fighting to help create our great nation and defend our Constitution. He lived an amazing life and was just an inspiring patriot!
Bon Jovi's "It's My Life"
I have always struggled with adversity having been raised in a broken home and dealing with strained relationships.
I don't see much of a difference as California seems to be embracing ONE PARTY Rule and both houses are in lock step with each other.
I think it is actually a disadvantage as the average politician is disconnected to the constituents they are supposed to represent. Working in and with the community helps you understand the needs of the people and keeps you better connected to the people you serve.
Infrastructure projects and over spending. We need responsible government that will be good stewards of tax payer money to protect the financial stability of our state for future generations.
The Governor should provide leadership and Legislature provides oversight in an ideal world.
Yes, without good relationships it will be difficult to get bills passed or build support to make positive changes.
Education Committee
I am a team player and as a Freshmen Assemblymen I would be willing to work in any capacity to help the cause of growing our party and influence in Sacramento.
Melissa Melendez has been an excellent law maker and I think I will try to model my time in office after hers.
I have heard parents in an Opt Out forum describe the curriculum their child was exposed to . LGBTQ curriculum is a big push by Sacramento as the school is seen as a means for indoctrination of our children. Parents are losing control and no longer are notified or given the choice to participate in new sex education curriculum. The state continues to try and influence our children and undermine parental rights.
