Biography

Holmes received his B.A. in American studies from Yale College. He later received his J.D. from the University of Virginia. Holmes was an attorney specializing in business law prior to his election as city attorney.[1]

Seattle held general elections for mayor, city attorney, and two at-large seats on the city council on November 7, 2017. A primary election took place on August 1, 2017. The top two vote recipients after the final count of the primary vote advanced to the general election. The filing deadline for this election was May 19, 2017. Incumbent Pete Holmes defeated Scott Lindsay in the general election for city attorney of Seattle.[2]
