I am a certified mental health professional who founded a non-profit dedicated to guaranteeing civil rights for the formerly incarcerated. As a formerly incarcerated individual myself, and a Richmond resident with roots in the historic Black community of Union Hill in Buckingham County, I have lived the issues facing constituents. From standing with Union Hill to defeat Dominion Energy’s polluting compressor station, to helping get fair chance hiring policy passed in over 20 localities, I have an established record of influencing policy change. I’ve been instrumental in the restoration of rights for thousands of Virginians. I’ve organized solar job trainings to uplift young working people in Buckingham County and the City of Richmond. Now I’m running to continue my community advocacy in Virginia’s General Assembly, and to change the narrative in Virginia to create a Commonwealth built on the rights of all people to economic stability, healthy communities, and to have their voices heard over corporate interests. I’m committed to bringing out the best in people and the Commonwealth while inspiring other everyday Virginians to feel empowered, run for office, and be the change Virginia needs.

  • My policies will always be by the people for the people. I will never take corporate donations or be swayed by corporate interests.
  • I believe in uniting people power with policy change, and I will fight for the rights of all people to housing, education and healthy communities.
  • I know that environmental justice is economic justice is racial justice. I will work for policies that not only address the need for climate justice, but also uplift workers and impacted communities.

As the People’s Delegate, I am totally committed to running a clean campaign from the start and always.

Once in office, I will work toward true campaign finance reform, so that corporate interests stop drowning out the voice of the people.

I will work tirelessly for policies that address the intersecting issues of economic, social, and environmental justice. I will fight to repeal "right to work." I will advocate for a Virginia Green New Deal that creates thousands of jobs and a Fossil Fuel Moratorium that prevents the buildout of unnecessary dirty energy infrastructure that harms communities. I will strive for real criminal justice reform, including ending qualified immunity. And I will work for policies that prioritize affordable housing and equitable access to education.
My policies will lift the working class and marginalized communities, and will ensure that corporations pay their fair share into the public sector.
