Sterling Johnson, Jr. was a federal judge for the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York.

Johnson was nominated by President George H.W. Bush on May 17, 1991, to a seat vacated by Joseph McLaughlin; he was confirmed by the Senate on June 27, 1991, and received commission on July 2, 1991. He assumed senior status on June 1, 2003. His service ended on October 10, 2022, upon his death.[1][2]

Johnson earned his B.A. and LL.B. from Brooklyn College in 1963 and 1966, respectively.[1]

Johnson served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1952 to 1955.[1]
