Thomas Loertscher
Thomas F. "Tom" Loertscher (b. January 4, 1944) is a former Republican member of the Idaho House of Representatives, representing District 32B from 2004 to 2018. He previously served from 1996 to 2002. Loertscher was defeated in the primary election on May 15, 2018. Loertscher was a 2018 independent write-in candidate who sought election to District 32B of the Idaho House of Representatives.
Biography
Loretscher earned his B.S. in accounting from the University of Utah. While he served in the state House, his professional experience included working as a rancher.

Elections for the Idaho House of Representatives took place in 2014. A primary election took place on May 20, 2014. The general election was held on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was March 14, 2014. Ashlee F. Stalcup was unopposed in the Democratic primary, while incumbent Tom Loertscher was unopposed in the Republican primary. Stalcup was defeated by Loertscher in the general election.[5][6][7][8]

Loertscher won re-election in the 2012 election for Idaho House of Representatives. Due to redistricting, he ran in District 32B. He defeated Kelton L. Larsen and Franklyn G. Vilt Sr. in the Republican primary and defeated Ralph Mossman (D) in the general election on November 6, 2012.[9][10][11][12]

Loertscher won re-election to District Seat 31B in 2010 against Democrat Ralph Mossman. He ran unopposed in the Republican primary on May 25th. The general election took place on November 2, 2010.[13]

On November 4, 2008, Republican Thomas Loertscher won re-election to the Idaho House of Representatives District 31B receiving 98.2% of the vote (15,421 votes), ahead of Independent Ralph Mossman who received 1.8% of the vote (289 votes).[14]
