Travis Simms (Democratic Party) is a member of the Connecticut House of Representatives, representing District 140. He assumed office in 2019. His current term ends on January 8, 2025.
Simms (Democratic Party) is running for re-election to the Connecticut House of Representatives to represent District 140. He is on the ballot in the general election on November 5, 2024. He advanced from the Democratic primary on August 13, 2024.
Biography
Travis Simms was born in Norwalk, Connecticut. Simms was a competitive boxer and a two-time WBA Super Welterweight World Champion from 2003 to 2007. As of September 2019, he was a member of the Norwalk Maritime Aquarium Board of Directors and the Choice Neighborhoods Implementation Coordinating Committee (ICC). He also served as the First Vice Chair for Action for Bridgeport Community Development Inc. (ABCD). As of 2022, he was the assistant majority leader in the Connecticut House of Representatives.[1][2]
