We are committed to creating a waste-free future! Who Are We? Pela has been around for over 10 years and has helped over 1 million customers make the switch to more eco-friendly products. Pela is famous for being the creators of the world's first compostable phone case, Apple watch strap + AirPods case, and fully biodegradable sunglasses (even the lenses!) Our newest venture LOMI is the must-have home appliance for anyone who cares about the environment or hates gross compost waste. What Is Our Why? Pela is on a mission to eliminate 1 Billion Pounds of waste from ever being made! In the end, we're just human like everyone else and trying our best to preserve the planet for our children and beyond. We don't claim to be perfect in our efforts but we are always pushing ourselves to believe in better, to be better, and to do better every single day. I love what we're doing at Lomi. This is actually change-the-world work. Our latest test results on carrots with a farm partner of ours. Yields are 30% higher using what comes out of a Lomi to fertilize/add nutrients to the soil. Third-party labs verify all results. And the carrots taste better (not verified by labs...duh?). And yet globally we just keep pumping fertilizer into the ground. The definition of crazy is what again?
