EVV and Telehealth Grants for Home and Community Based Service Providers

Home and Community Based Service providers are invited to apply for ​grants available from funding through the American Rescue Plan Act. Nebraska Medicaid is still accepting grant applications from Home Health Services providers to cover Electronic Visit Verification integration. Applications will be accepted through September 30, 2024.

Home and Community-Based Services Spending Plan - Updated August 1, 2024

Nebraska Medicaid's spending plan for the additional funds available for home and community-based services (HCBS) through the American Rescue Plan Act received conditional approval from the federal government on January 31, 2022. These funds will be available through March 31, 2025. Medicaid will submit a final spending plan report to the federal government in April 2025.

Aged and Disabled Waiver Rate Study

DHHS contracted with CBIZ Optumas and their subcontractor Myers and Stauffer, LC to complete a rate study for the Aged and Disabled Waiver and Personal Assistance Services in 2022. The goal was to establish a rate model for services provided to the aged and individuals with disabilities.

This rate study included opportunities for direct care providers and other stakeholders to provide feedback on the cost of doing business in delivering services. Services reviewed: 

  • Assisted Living
  • Adult Day Health
  • Personal Care
  • Respite Care
  • Chore
  • Companion
  • Extra Care for Children with Disabilities (sometimes called Disability-Related Childcare)
  • Home Again Service
  • Independence Skills Building
  • Transport
  • Home Delivered Meals
  • Personal Assistance Services (PAS) through the Medicaid State Plan
