2nd Canadian Parliament

[edit]

Thanks for fixing my stupid typo on the session year, but you didn't have to also change the ones digit of the year, the second session of the second Parliament in fact only lasted from October 23 to November 7, 1873. I'm using www.parl.gc.ca to check miscellaneous facts about the parliaments and prime ministers, and I'm pretty sure their numbers are right. Happy editing. Hi. When you recently edited List of United Kingdom by-elections (1857–1868), you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Lord John Hay, Henry Lowry-Corry and William Forsyth (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

UK by-elections before 1832

[edit]

I see you have done a lot of work on by-elections. Are you planning to do anything about the 1806-1832 contests? If so, I have a list of by-elections extracted from the election results in the relevant volumes of the History of Parliament (which hopefully does not amount to original research). It is not yet in precisely the format I adopted for the 1801-1806 by-elections, but if you are interested I could supply a copy. I am not sure when I will feel like returning to this particular topic, so if you want to carry on with it soon then good luck. --Gary J (talk) 20:45, 23 October 2012 (UTC)--Gary J[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited By-elections to the 7th Canadian Parliament, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Northumberland (electoral district) (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

This is an automated message from MadmanBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of List of Great Britain by-elections (1754-1774), and it appears to include material copied directly from http://www.oursportscentral.com/services/history/wiki.php?title=List_of_United_Kingdom_by-elections_(1801-1806).

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.
