Adding a new AfD discussion

Adding an AfD to this page does not add it to the main page at WP:AFD. Similarly, removing an AfD from this page does not remove it from the main page at WP:AFD. If you want to nominate an article for deletion, go through the process on that page before adding it to this page. To add a discussion to this page, follow these steps:

Edit this page and add {{Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/PageName}} to the top of the list. Replace "PageName" with the relevant article name, i.e. the one on the existing AFD discussion. Also, indicate the title of the article in the edit summary as it is particularly helpful to add a link to the article in the edit summary. When you save the page, the discussion will automatically appear.
You should also tag the AfD by adding {{subst:delsort|Bihar|~~~~}} to it, which will inform editors that it has been listed here. You may place this tag above or below the nomination statement or at the end of the discussion thread.

Closed AfD discussions are automatically removed by a bot.

Other types of discussions

You can also add and remove other discussions (prod, CfD, TfD etc.) related to Bihar. For the other XfD's, the process is the same as AfD (except {{Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/PageName}} is used for MFD and {{transclude xfd}} for the rest). Keep all listed today Bolierplate statement on each nom that comes down to 'my PROD was rejected, so this is the next step'. Please explain on each of these noms a broader statement as to why you're seeking deletion than the same rationale across all of them. Because these are basically the same article, just about different non-notable subjects. There are hundreds of such articles created by a small bunch of users that all follow a similar pattern and that is why the same rationale works for each of them. Comment. The articles about the trains from this list that I have checked appear to be mechanically generated from entries in some database. Their content is mostly identical and each article does not appear to warrant its own discussion. Essentially, we have here a timetable of Indian railroads in a representation that is very inconvenient to use. Indeed these articles can be combined into one table that pretty much will be a copy of the original database. Since a timetable for the Indian railroads must already exist somewhere, a better solution might be to redirect them to a single article about the timetable itself with no details about particular trains, for the latter the article in turn will contain a link to the original, always up-to-date, searchable database. The schedule of regular trains updates many times a year, so we really should not get ourselves sucked into maintenance of these articles. Викидим (talk) 18:44, 23 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Comment It would have been more productive if @Arnav Bhate had bundled these nominations as I don't expect editors to be able to reply responsibly to every single one. That said, I do think the nomination statement is appropriate; it makes an assertion about lack of notability and offers a rationale. Delete: This article does not meet WP:GNG. It may fall under WP:ROTM. We can instead redirect to a broader article that covers train services in India. Such an article will arrange the details in a more helpful and easy to maintain format. Delete all articles about trains that are not special in any way. Per my comment above, Wikipedia is not a place to keep a non-searchable, non-official, never-up-to-date, and bloated with repeated text copy of a railway schedule database that already exists elsewhere and does not have these drawbacks (cf. These articles are about individual trains running the line, AFAIK. They can be merged together (or to some other article), creating a timetable. We do not create articles for each star in the sky, although very detailed databases exist that, just like timetables, can be used to mechanically generate some text for each line in the database. Unlike the sky, the railway timetable keeps constantly changing, creating a maintenance nightmare on top of these WP:ROTM concerns. Викидим (talk) 00:19, 24 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Aangan Ke Laxmi

Reviewed during NPP. No indication of wp:notability under GNG or SNG. In fact there not even enough sourcing ( or content) to figure out what this is about. Appears to be a mashup of two different films with similar names. Aangan Ke Laxmi and Aangan Ki Laxmi Info box says 1986 film but the only two sources that actually discuss it are short "future film" type pieces from a couple years ago. Found nothing in a search for Aangan Ke Laxmi North8000 (talk) 18:45, 11 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Comment: It appears there have been a few mixups here. It looks like Aangan Ke Laxmi (the article title) is a 1986 film (entirely non-notable); see this mention in a book bibliography. Sources 3 and 4 in the article are referring to a film called Aangan Ki Laxmi (sometimes Aangan Ki Lakshimi), which has more coverage and was released last year. Aangan Ki Laxmi probably meets NFILM/GNG (see [3][4][5] and on Google). It would be helpful here if the creator (NIA3000) clarifies what exactly this article is about or if the two films are related. If it is about the 1986 film, then I vote delete. Otherwise, I am not familiar enough with the topic to decide what to do here. C F A 💬 19:39, 11 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Either DISAMB (and create a page for the 2023 film) or redirect to List of Bhojpuri films#1980s (where it is listed) because there are sources, including mentions in books that allow to verify cast, director, etc. and this is a standard ATD in such cases.-My, oh my!
