Affordable Parking

The City of San Antonio offers convenient and affordable parking at its parking garages and lots. We have created a variety of free and discounted parking opportunities for downtown visitors as we want to make it easy for people to visit downtown San Antonio.

The City of San Antonio offers convenient and affordable parking at its parking garages and lots.

The St. Mary’s Garage and the City Tower Garage are just steps away from the River Walk, Houston Street and Travis Park. They generally have a large number of parking spaces available at affordable prices.

Discounted Parking

St. Mary’s Garage offers parking for just $5:

  • after 5 p.m. on weeknights
  • all day Saturday and Sunday

NOTE: When in effect, the event rate is $15.

City Tower Sundays

City Tower Sundays offers free parking on Sundays from 7 a.m. to midnight.

The garage has entrances on Flores and Main streets.

Downtown Tuesday

Downtown Tuesday offers free parking: 

  • Tuesdays from 5 p.m. to 2 a.m. 
  • in all City-owned parking facilities

NOTE: Some exclusions apply during Majestic Theatre shows and other events.

On-Street Parking Meters & Pay Stations

Parking meter station.

On-street parking is free: 

  • after 6 p.m. every day
  • all day on Sunday

On-street parking meters and pay stations are enforced Monday through Saturday, 8 a.m. – 6 p.m.

Use the SAPark app to find on-street parking and pay by phone.

Hybrid/Electric Vehicles

Vehicles displaying an authorized Hybrid and Electric Vehicle Placard are allowed to park for free at downtown street parking meters or street pay stations.

NOTE: You may not exceed the time limit of the meter or pay station. Other restrictions may apply.

Monthly Parking

St. Mary's Parking Garage

The City of San Antonio offers monthly parking permits at many locations for those who live and/or work downtown.

The permits offer a convenient and economical way of paying for parking. With a permit, in/out parking privileges are included for the specified location.
