Vehicles displaying an authorized Hybrid and Electric Vehicle Placard are allowed to park for FREE at downtown street parking meters or street pay stations for a period of time not to exceed the limit of the meter or pay station. Please note that some meters or pay stations have restricted hours of use which apply to everyone. (Hybrid and Electric Placards are not valid at City Garages or City Lots)...
Participation in the program is for Hybrid and Electric Vehicles only and eligibility will be determined by the approval of the registration form.
Complete the registration form and attach the appropriate documents. All paperwork must be presented in person to the Parking Division at 400 N. St. Mary’s, San Antonio, Texas 78205. Placards are distributed between 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday (except holidays).
The placards are issued at no charge and are limited one per authorized vehicle owner.
Placards must be displayed on the rear view mirror of the registered vehicle with the green side facing the front windshield.
