Infectious Diseases

The Infectious Diseases Clinic evaluates and manages the entire spectrum of infectious diseases including DoD beneficiaries with Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) infection, bacterial, viral, fungal, rickettsial, mycobacterial, and parasitic infections, as well as events related to bioterrorism. We provide infectious disease consultative and follow-up care to eligible surgical and medical inpatients and outpatients, and telephonic consultative services to regional DoD clinics and hospitals. We support Public Health functions to improve population-level disease prevention and response. We provide pre-travel counseling and post-travel evaluations for travel-related and tropical diseases.  In addition, we provide counseling and medication if indicated for HIV pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP).Patients may self-refer to be seen in our International Travel Clinic. Male patients may self-refer to be seen in our Sexually Transmitted Infection clinic. All other appointment types require referral. All patients must have an appointment to be seen.
