A great conversation today between the Information Commissioner and the Chair of the Health Research Authority. #RDF2024 A great question on getting anonymisation right, something we thorough endorse - do talk to Simon Pillinger, our Head of Governance who delivered a session exactly this topic yesterday. When asked if he could advocate against the perspective that information governance blocker, the Commissioner said that; 'If you fail to do information governance right then you lose your social license do to research'. Research is built on trust.

Thank you Ceyda Uysal for your work into anti-depressant adherence utilising Akrivia Healths real-world data. With our AI-driven NLP models capturing such rich longitudinal data from the EHR, the level of patient characterisation will truly help our life sciences ecosystem positively impact the community.
I am delighted to share I attended the MQ Mental Health Research DataMind Conference 2024 last week, an amazing gathering dedicated to building a health data science enthusiast community. The event provided a platform for exchanging insights and best practices. I found the presentations and discussions with esteemed speakers very insightful! One of the highlights for me was presenting our poster on "Contributors of Antidepressant Non-adherence: A Real-World Study Utilising Electronic Health Records" using Akrivia Health secondary mental healthcare data. With about 280 million people worldwide affected by depressive disorders, addressing medication non-adherence is crucial for enhancing patient outcomes. I'm committed to leveraging data to positively impact mental health, and am excited to continue working on this project! I'm grateful for the invaluable support of my esteemed colleagues, Dr Luke Bryden, Dr Tarso Franarin, our clinical consultants and our outstanding team. Looking forward to working on data-driven projects to improve patient outcomes!
