As a proud supporter of sport in Scotland, we're delighted to be sponsoring Scottish para-athlete, Melanie Woods, who is currently preparing for the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games. After a life changing injury in 2018, former PE teacher Melanie was determined to rediscover her love for sport: "After my injury, I started to look at what sports I could now do as a wheelchair user. I went along to a local athletics club and was inspired by the athletes of all abilities. I managed to get hold of a second hand chair, and committed to training as much as I could to see how good I could get. I started racing pretty soon after, although not very fast! I set a benchmark to beat for myself and that became the goal - to see improvements every time I got on a start line!" We're looking to working with Melanie on a number of wellbeing and motivational initiatives in the coming year and wish her the best of luck in upcoming competitions. https://lnkd.in/gdn8CzEp
