⚠ Cenex Expo - Important Travel Update ⚠ Due to ongoing roadworks to upgrade the National Power Infrastructure, you are very likely to suffers delays on your journey to #cenexexpo2024 and should allow an extra 30 minutes travel time, if travelling by car.   In order to minimise any disruption, cars and light vans (up to 7.5t GVW) should avoid Marston Moretaine and approach Cenex Expo from the South, using the A507 (direct link to the M1/A1/A421) and coming through Millbrook village, following the event signage to the relevant entrance.   Vehicles over 7.5t GVW should follow the route through Marston Moretaine, but should expect significant delays as the roadworks are before the entrances to Cenex Expo.   We are sorry for the inconvenience that this may cause, but these circumstances are beyond our control.

Looking ahead to Cenex Expo Transport + Energy are the Content Partner for this year’s Cenex Expo event which takes place on September 4 and 5 at UTAC Millbrook in Bedfordshire. In the lead up to the event, Editorial Director Alec Peachey speaks to Robert Evans, CEO of Cenex – who tells us what visitors can expect to see and do. ⛽⚡Over the course of nine years, the Hydrogen Mobility Europe (H2ME) project, the largest demonstration of hydrogen vehicles and refuelling infrastructure in Europe has demonstrated that Fuel Cell Electric Vehicles (FCEVs) can compete with traditional diesel alternatives. With the involvement of over 1,400 FCEVs across 10 countries, H2ME has collected data showing that hydrogen-powered vehicles can potentially be used in demanding roles such as taxis and police vehicles while achieving reductions in emissions. Cenex's role involved collating and analysing extensive data on the performance of vehicles and hydrogen refuelling stations. The results emphasize that even when utilising hydrogen derived from fossil fuels, fuel cell electric vehicles (FCEVs) emit fewer well-to-wheel emissions compared to diesel or gasoline vehicles. This disparity is further amplified when renewable hydrogen is used. 🚛 As the future of sustainable transport unfolds, our analysis indicates that prioritising heavy-duty applications will play a key role in stimulating demand. 🚏 ♻ How can rural bus shelters become a catalyst for sustainable travel?♻🚏 We are excited to collaborate with East Lothian Council and design experts at Quarterre to transform traditional rural bus shelters into innovative modular mobility hubs. 🚍This project is part of the Transport Decarbonisation Demonstrators programme, funded by the Department for Transport (DfT), United Kingdom and delivered by Innovate UK. It aims to enhance access to public transport and reduce car dependency across East Lothian, supporting the region's Net Zero strategy. Cenex will manage the project and facilitate community engagement to ensure that the new designs meet the needs of local residents.
