Back in July 2022 we travelled to Birmingham to redeliver one of our Made by make projects with Arup We first built and delivered this stand back in October 2021 for ARUP's virtual engage exhibition at COP26 in Glasgow. Fun Fact: the triangular part of the stand that makes up the backdrop is actually made from mycelium 🍄 Thanks to Mulberry Workshop , and dock DESIGN for helping us deliver the project! Celebrating 5 Years at Make Hamilton Square! 🎉🎉 It’s hard to believe it’s already been five years since we moved into our meanwhile space at Make Hamilton Square. This time has been filled with growth, creativity, and an amazing sense of community. We’ve loved every moment and every connection we’ve made here in the Wirral so far. In just a few weeks, we’ll be embarking on an exciting new chapter as we move into the building we’ve bought in Birkenhead! We can’t wait to see what the next five years bring in our new permanent space. A massive thank you to everyone who has been part of our Make Hamilton journey so far. Many of you will be moving with us, and we are so grateful for your continued support and enthusiasm. Here’s to new beginnings and endless possibilities in Birkenhead!

We are closing in just 2 weeks! Our final trading day at this location will be August 2nd. However, we’re not disappearing—our workshops, events and catering services will continue as we prepare for our exciting new location. We can’t wait to share it with you! ❄️✨ Reflecting on our Winter Wellness Workshops at Make Huyton! ✨❄️ To kick off the year we hosted a series of free craft workshops in collaboration with Knowsley Council's Winter Wellness grant at Make Huyton Village. From mosaics and wood carving to knitting, tie-dye, clothes reworking, and furniture painting, we had a blast creating with our community! Each session was fully funded and included a warm, delicious meal for all attendees. It was truly wonderful to connect with so many lovely people and see our community come together. Exciting news! Make CIC welcomes Rafael Willisch as the new Chair of our board. With a strong background in business and a passion for the maker movement, Rafael is the perfect leader as we enter our next decade. He has been a dedicated supporter of Make CIC and initiated our first commissioned project, which grew into Made By Make. Rafael said, “It’s an honour to chair Make CIC in Merseyside’s vibrant creative sector. In 2021 we were commissioned by Arup to build and deliver this brilliant installation, part of National Museums Liverpool Waterfront Transformation Competition. This Made by Make commission is still standing in our garden at Make Hamilton Square today. We're nearly there! 👷♂️👷♀️ Make Hamilton 2 update: The Fit Out There has been lots of progress since our last video, and we're coming near to the end of the fit out. The open plan spaces are built, the doors are in, lots of the painting has been done and the electrics are going in! There's just a few more weeks left to go, we cant wait to show you phase 1 completed.

Today I’m thinking about all the projects we’ve worked on since our first way back in 2018, a display stand for Finsa UK at the NEC - National Exhibition Centre It’s been quite a year so far with all the attention from Culture Liverpool’s Taylor Town and the handover key for Eurovision Song Contest. Everyone who has chosen Make CIC over the past six years told us they wanted their expenditure to go further, supporting the local creative economy; to be sustainable, reducing waste; and needed to have access to the deepest pool of creative talent in the region to deliver their ideas. Since 2018 we have been commissioned by Liverpool City Council, Sefton Council, Wirral Council, Arup, Everton Football Club, Angel Solutions, dot-art, The Reader UK and many more!
