Pride Month is over, but we're not done talking about it! 🏳️🌈 Partnering with Pride in London, GAY TIMES, Galop, Classical Pride, QueerAF and Trans+ History Week CIC, throughout the month of June Outernet London showcased a diverse range of content designed to celebrate and support the LGBTQ+ community, completely free to audiences right in the heart of Soho. These exhibitions varied from hosting a stunning display of GAY TIMES' iconic archive, showcasing the publication's journey and the significant strides made in LGBTQ+ representation, to ADOT FOUNDATION x Galop's important campaign "The Storm Shelter", featuring the voices of LGBT+ celebrities and allies, alongside voices of real victims of hate crime. 🤍 Other notable pieces include Trans+ History Week CIC's transportive experience that takes visitors on a journey through the millennia old history of Trans+ people, all while immersed in the choral sounds of the UK’s first professional trans+ choir, Trans Voices; and Classical Pride's new concept Classical Drag, a live event in Outernet Venues featuring a live orchestra of LGBTQ+ musicians and allies. 🎵 On Pride Day itself, we had an incredible time celebrating the LGBTQIA+ community through a series of vibrant and joyous events. From showcasing our house content, Paint the Outernet Rainbow and Emoji Shower: Pride Edition, to featuring DJ sets and Dancer Performances, our Pride celebration was filled with unforgettable moments. 🌈 🎥 Check out the video below to see the highlights from Saturday 29th June, and relive the excitement. #OuternetLondon #Pride #PrideMonth #EntertainmentIndustry #EventsIndustry

TRANS YOUTH ARE LOVED 🩷🏳️⚧️ Content warning: suicidal thoughts Joining the #transyouthareloved campaign by sharing a piece of art. This campaign is needed more than ever – with attacks on the rights of trans+ people in the UK and around the world. These attacks harm the lives of trans+ people, and in particular, trans+ youth: Just Like Us in their Growing Up LGBT+ report found that 88% of trans youth are having suicidal thoughts. But there is hope. They also found that pupils whose schools had positive messaging about being LGBT+ also had reduced suicidal thoughts and feelings – regardless of whether they are LGBT+ or not. This is why we need more messages of hope for trans+ youth. Get involved by sharing a short video message, photo, piece of art, sharing the message; Trans Youth Are Loved. And make sure you use #transyouthareloved Thank you Nancy Kelley, Jude Guaitamacchi, 🏳️⚧️Marty Davies, Alex Parmar-Yee, Kit Monrey for all your incredible work within the Trans Solidarity Alliance and with Trans People Are Loved for bringing us this very much-needed campaign.

QueerAF Founder, Forbes Under 30 2020 | I help you understand the LGBTQIA+ news and support queer creatives
Can you trust anyone to do justice to Trans+ youth, or reverse years of harmful policies this election? This week in the QueerAF explainer we're reposting our collaboration with DIVA Magazine and Trans+ History Week CIC - the Queer Election Watch. This week Nancy Kelley looks at how misinformation and scaremongering about trans+ children has become commonplace in our press and politics over recent years as part of the so-called “culture wars”. So much so that the policies that impact trans+ children and young people, such as gender-affirming healthcare, sex education and inclusion in schools, have come under enormous pressure to deliver culture war priorities. "This is clearly disproportionate and unfair: trans+ children and young people are a small and vulnerable population." So how are the different parties approaching this? Hit subscribe to find out plus get a reminder every Tuesday all the way up to the election with a new policy briefing area or read the series so far here: https://lnkd.in/eBXSsHk9 #LGBTQ #LGBT #QueerAF #DIVA #TransHistoryWeek #ConversionTherapy
